Making the Switch

Old habits die hard.

Operation Pepsi Switch: Complete.

It’s been a week since I had a Pepsi.

Well, that’s a little white lie; I tried to drink one over the weekend. It was a 20 oz. bottle and I couldn’t finish it.

I nursed it for 2 days and finally gave up and dumped it down the sink.

Up next:

Operation QT Cappuccino.

Day 1: Complete.

I did not stop at QT even though I wanted to – so badly!

I did not have my carrot cake cappuccino this morning and once I passed QT I was quite depressed about it.

I tried telling myself that one won’t hurt me… but I knew I was lying to myself.

I got in to work, texted you probably know who, and pulled some quarters out of my pocket.

I was going to go grab a Pepsi just for the caffeine fix, but I decided against it.

Then I was going to go get a granola bar, since I didn’t eat breakfast this morning, but I forgot about it.

While I was getting water in my new (gasp-$20!) water bottle (you should buy it online, it’s $5 cheaper than in-store), my boss suggested I take a green tea packet she’d just put on the table. She didn’t want them anymore.

So, I finished filling up my bottle with hot water and dropped in a green tea.

Oh Earl Grey, how I love thee.

Six more days to go until Operation QT Cappuccino is complete.

Operation Big Fat Ass is underway. Day 3 is complete. I started November 2nd, tried Nov. 3rd but ultimately failed, and then started again this morning. I woke up bright an early at 4:30 and got to the gym just after 5. I did a 40 minute Spinning session, walked the track, then went home and got the kids dressed and ready for school.

All I want for Christmas is an iPod shuffle. Right now.
